Wire Erosion is a manufacturing process that is carried out at Bedestone Ltd. This process uses electrical discharges to obtain a desired shape. Unwanted material is removed from the work piece by a series of rapidly recurring current discharges between two electrodes that are separated by adielectric liquid and subject to an electric voltage. This process is a machining method that is used primarily for hard metals that would be very difficult to machine with traditional techniques.
